Be a spectator of your present:
Have you ever been in a situation when you find yourself peeking into your not so glorious past and imaginatively correcting your stupid acts that you wish you hadn’t done or better had done in a way that could have made that glorious? I do it often and I think everybody does it, for a simple reason that everybody makes mistakes. And ironically all of us become Spielbergs in mastering the directions of retakes of our already released and quite often flopped flicks (or horror flicks, should I say?).
If you try to deep dive into the process of afore mentioned retakes, you will find it extremely intriguing. Your present self becomes the director and the past self is actor. You closely watch what the actor is performing; interrupting him when he goes wrong and immediately correcting him and the process goes on and on until your actor has perfected the shot or your past. And then comes regretting; because, although analogous, its not real bollywood where you can do the Ram Gopal Verma act of redirecting and re-releasing James.
But have you ever wondered it is not some third person but we only who deliver a perfect shot of ourselves in the end, ofcourse in imagination. Can we apply this process to our present or immediate future and try to improve it? A food for thought….Think…….I will think too…..So I conclude with an open article……suggestions welcomed.
